FAQ
Most people sign up during their Initial Enrollment Period, a 7-month window that starts 3 months before the month you turn 65, includes your birthday month and ends 3 months after it.
Original Medicare is Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical), run by the federal government. Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are offered by Medicare-approved private companies and include Part A and Part B benefits, and often drug coverage and extra benefits, in one plan.
It is worth considering. If you go 63 or more days in a row without creditable drug coverage after you first become eligible, you may pay a late enrollment penalty for as long as you have Part D coverage.
Not always. If you or your spouse have health coverage through current employment, you may be able to delay Part B and sign up later during a Special Enrollment Period. An advisor can walk through your situation.
Yes, during set windows: the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 - December 7), the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 - March 31), or a Special Enrollment Period if you have a qualifying life event.
There is no fee to request information or speak with an advisor. If you choose to enroll in a plan, that plan sets its own premiums and costs, and we will explain them before you decide.
